Please take note of the schedule change for Saturday, October 18th:

Wednesday, September 17th - Dance is DONE!

Huge milestone last night for us as we finished the final two lessons which completes the core steps for Thriller. We finished up lessons 7 & 8 and then practiced the full 5 minute and 37 second dance....twice!

If you missed the rehearsal the final two lessons are here:

Here's the full dance

It helped to have a rehearsal room that was twice the size of our former space, a new DVD (once I figured out how the DVD player worked) and great speakers.

Our next rehearsal is Wednesday, September 24th at 8:15pm at West Seattle Christian Church community room, map here.  Just look for the 'Thriller Dance' sign and go through the glass doors.  Our next rehearsal will focus on parts of dance we need to review so it's a great time to join as you will be able to catch up!  Plus we'll go through the complete dance twice!

Every major and minor city of the world that has ever hosted a zombie walk can band together and give one solid groan heard WORLDWIDE for the zombie cause!

World Zombie Day™ will be a day when all fans of zombie culture can join together. There will be an international charity event done throughout the cities involved to help alleviate world hunger, and this will be a first.

IMPORTANT! Zombie xing Ahead!!

Is it me or did the room seem to get smaller as we were learning the classic 'stomp' routine?

Our host, Dan Jacobs from Ginomai, and I had a discussion this week about space as it's been on everyone's mind that the current room is too small.  He was kind enough to give us a much larger community room right across the street from Ginomai at West Seattle Christian Church.  The community room holds 50+ people, has a much bigger screen and better speakers.  Here's a link to a map  but it's really right across the street, just walk through the parking lot and go through the open door on the backside of the building. Look for the sign pointing the way!

Rehearsals still start at 8pm BUT the first 15 minutes will be reserved for any discussions or follow-up.  We'll start rehearsing at 8:15pm and go until 9:15pm.

Location Short List!

Thanks to Keith for scouting out some potential sites for our world record attempt. Please click here to view the sites and let's make a decision on our next practice night of Wednesday, September 17th.

Suggested sites are from the group:
Water Taxi Dock
Admiral Theater
Easy Street Records
Statue of Liberty Plaza

Dance Rehearsal Wed Sept 10th

We had a couple of technical challenges last night but onward and upward, next Wednesday we'll get caught up on our one lesson we didn't cover.

We're about half-way through the dance and everyone is smashing!  Our next rehearsal is Wednesday, September 17th at 8pm.  We're also going to add two additional rehearsals, Saturday & Sunday, October 18th & 19th at Ginomai.  Time TBD.

We also started thinking about our costumes and everyone received a zombie costume suggestion sheet.

OK!  So our lessons for next Wednesday are:

These final lessons will complete the dance, from that point forward it's just repeats.  We have 20 'zombie' dancers and everyone is doing great.  You can still join us, just practice lessons 1 through 5 before next Wednesday.
